The busy life of a 14 yr old...

Man oh man!!
*breathe in breathe out*

I have had such a crazy week!
Literally it has been one thing after another.
Today has been the first day I have gotten to just
relax and have it feel like Christmas Vacation.

I have been babysitting TONS this past week,
which has been great. Natalie is so funny and is quite
entertaining with her truthfulness and craziness.

I have been up doing things till 1am every night this past
week. Needless to say, I am TIRED! But luckily today I got to sleep in.

So my day today went a little bit like this...

I woke up at 10:15am
and made myself breakfast.
I ate breakfast while I did devotions.
I learned that my confidence should be in the Lord.
Then I took and shower and got ready.
Then I painted my nails and cleaned my room.
And I made a checklist for what to pack for DETOUR!!!
And then Josh came over for a long time.
We ate dinner and now we are getting ready to go to Christmas Tree Lane!

Relaxing,huh?!

Man, I'm SOOO excited.
Christmas is in 2 days!!
Snow trip with the family on Saturday!
Detour on Sunday!!! Too much excitement
in one week. Haha. =)

Well, everyone is yelling at me to get in the car.
So I better get going!

So i have a prayer request...

I'm getting an expander on tomorrow morning
and I have TONS of things to sing for over the next few weeks.
Usually you have a lisp with an expander for a little while
Just pray that I don't talk weird in time for all the singing stuff.

Tonight's Christmas party was great.
I ended up with a broken game cube
and a giant red stocking! lol....eh... ;)
and WANTED something else but..um..

didn't get it. Haha Ash. Dumb people. lol ;)jk

OK so the

UNITE CHRISTMAS PARTY

is tomorrow. And we decorated it today.
It looks wonderfully awful but its gonna be
great. The theme is a "misfit" Christmas.
A.k.a. Island of Rejects

haha.

So we hung up broken lights and cheesy,nasty, amazing garland and more!
So you should come. Bring a cheesy awkward gift from home or buy something
under 5$ for the gift exchange. But as Pastor Burdick says, "Theres a fine line between
awkward and inappropriate. Ask me if your not sure." Lol. =)
Oh and bring snow gloves..for the "mysterious" game that's planned for the night!!
I'm excited. Its from 6pm-8pm tomorrow in the HIGH SCHOOL room!!!!!

Hello Friends!

The 3 nights of performance was amazing.
Exhausting but very fun. It was awesome to see
how the Lord uses these kinds of things to draw
people to himself. Sunday night was PACKED!
People had to stand up in the back because there
was no more seats. How amazing is that?! We were all so excited.
That was everyone's favorite night.

Now I have so many more things to look forward to like....

1.Decorating for the Unite Christmas Party tomorrow night. 2.Unite Christmas Party on Wednesday 3.Young Marrieds Christmas Party on Thursday (I'm doing childcare.) 4.Gift exchange on Friday and Last day of SCHOOOLLLL!!!!!! (also getting my expander on. but that's not fun. at all.) 5.Sacramento on Saturday for my little cousins birthday party.

But yeah..this is gonna be a fun week.
I love Christmas time! So many parties
and holiday cheer. Its just so much energy
and hectic-ness. lol if that's even a word.
This week I also will be FINISHING my Christmas
shopping! YAYYYYYY!!!!! =) Well, that's about it for now.

A true friend is...

Hi!

Today I was thinking about friendships.
I was thinking about EACH of my friends
and how much their friendship means to me.
Then I started thinking what I think describes
a true friend.
I would like to show you what qualities in my friends that I
admire most...

Loyalty: When I think of this quality I think of Monique.
Loyalty is even when your not together you know that
that other person will ALWAYS have your back. Not talk bad
about you. And will always be your best friend even in tough times.

Tough Love: This quality is so important. You could have the best friend
but have them not tell you the truth or call you out on stuff. Without Tough Love
I would be no where. Sometimes it takes that one friend to tell you what your doing is
wrong and bring you to your senses. It is a blessing. And this quality goes to:Ashlyn.

The ability to make you Laugh: Summer Rae totally fits this quality. She knows what cheers me
up..what makes me laugh..and what makes me mad. The key thing is knowing what makes your friend happy and DOING it. Not just knowing. Summer knows how to put her knowledge into actions. She can always make me laugh and for that...I'm thankful.

Encouragement: A true friend points you towards Jesus. Challenges you and encourages you
in the things of the Lord. This quality is rare that is why I admire it so much.
This quality goes to Shyloh.

These 4 quality's are major in my book.
But theses quality's aren't just ones that go to that friend.
It goes to each and every single one of them.
I just gave them ones that immediately reminded me
of them. If you need help in any of these areas as a friend,
ask the Lord for help. And he WILL give it to you.
Also put your desires to actions. If you need growth in Encouragement..then
tell that friend something that you love about them,give them a bible verse, text them and let them know your thinking of them.
Stuff like that makes a WORLD of a difference. And I think all of us could be a better friend to those around us. Not just our best friends but also strangers. Smile at them. Hold the door open for them. Make this Christmas season just a little bit better for them.

Tired..Tired..Tired..

Man,
Last night's practice was supposed to be from 6pm-8pm.
We left at 10:20pm!!!! I normally stay up later than that but I was
SO tired. Goodness. It went pretty good though and it was alot of fun.
Now, I got to get some energy for the exact same thing tonight.

Haha.

Christmas Program

Hello Friends! (and family. lol)

This week has been such a chill week so far.
Because my Math teacher only assigned 1 math lesson
this week and then our final. My final is almost done and its not even
due till' friday! Woohooo! Thanks to Josh, I'm getting a pretty good grade too!
And I have been done with my final for english for a while now. When it comes to
English, I'm an over achiever. lol

So tonight I have practice for the Christmas Program!
I have practice tonight,tomorrow, and thursday.
Then the actual program is on Friday,Saturday, and Sunday!
YOU SHOULD COME! Its a musical journey through Christmas.
There will be dancing,singing,and narration. I'm so excited. Its gonna
be great! =) Here are the dates and times:

• Friday (12/11/09) at 7pm
  

• Saturday (12/12/09) at 7pm

• Sunday (12/13/09) at 6pm

These are located at Calvary Chapel Modesto!

New Beginnings....

Hello Everyone,

As you all probley know I have another blog (musiclifealyssa.blogspot.com)
but since SO much of my life has changed since this Summer I decided to
make a new blog. Kind of a symbol of a new beginning. Cheesy? Yes. But
oh well...sometimes its good to just start over. =) I think so anyways.

I also decided not to "back track" my life over the past few months.
I'd rather just start blogging about the "now" not the past.

The mission for this blog is to encourage people and just to continually
point to Jesus. My goal is to be more like Jesus every single day..
And so...this is me recording my journey through life..the ups and the downs..
the trials and the blessings...the silliness and laughter..and the tears. Look for the songs

at the end of every post. They will reflect my mood and hopefully encourage you, make you laugh, or make you think. And comment as much as you want. I LOVE to hear from people.
